The Tattered Page

Slowly but surely, the manuscript is coming together for my next book. I’m pleased that the first draft is finished (sort of), and I can now venture down the backside of the giant turd mountain every writer must climb with drafts zero and one.

So, without further delay…

So, there it is. But what is it about, you ask?

Beneath the Farlight Sky is the story of Johnny “JJ” Jennings, a 21-year old Illinois farm boy in 1914 with his heart set on making the big leagues. When he arrives in a new town to join his new semi-pro team, something is wrong – a lot of somethings. Through the course of this make-or-break season, JJ must navigate an angry old manager, coldhearted teammates, a groundskeeper that won’t speak and a mysterious young woman, all leading up to the biggest game he’s ever played – in a town that doesn’t exist.

Look for this new book maybe sometime later this year, but more likely ’26 thanks to the slowpoke writing it. More to come.
